You should take connectivity to devices like gaming consoles, TVs, and other entertainment systems into account when placing your nodes. Since a wired connection offers faster speeds without causing interference to other wireless devices, it is almost always preferable for these devices. Try to position nodes within cable distance (6 to 10 feet) of any devices that would benefit from a wired LAN connection because the majority of mesh nodes are equipped with at least one LAN port that allows you to use a wired connection.
