[Chongqing, China, April 9, 2023] Digital Transformation Application Summit for Higher Education was successfully held in Chongqing, China. The summit, organized by the Education Technology Sub-Technical Committee of the National Information Technology Standardization Technical Committee, the Education Informatization Technology Standard Committee of the Ministry of Education, and Ruijie Networks, under the guidance of the Education Informatization Branch of the China Higher Education Association, highlights how digital transformation has become a crucial driving force for educational transformation and the high-quality development of higher education. Wu Yonghe, who is a researcher at East China Normal University and the chairman of both the Education Technology Sub-Technical Committee of the National Information Technology Standardization Technical Committee and the Education Informatization Technology Standard Committee of the Ministry of Education, along with Zhang Wei, who is the vice chairman of the Education Informatization Branch of the Chinese Higher Education Society and a professor at Dalian University of Technology, and Liu Zhongdong, the general manager of Ruijie Networks, delivered a welcome speech at the forum.

Xia Dafei, Deputy Director of Information Technology Construction Office of Southwest University, gave a report on the past, present, and future of the network construction of Southwest University, based on the changes of technology applications in the vertical technology development. He suggested that the digital campus can be truly on-demand only when the flexible network deployment application is implemented. From a problem-oriented perspective, Deputy Director Xia Dafei analyzed the problems of "network speed needs to be strengthened, network construction lags behind application demand, lack of coordination of private network, and 5G access experience needs to be improved" in the current technology and service bridging, and gave a proposal of "two networks "(5G private network + campus optical network) and adopt the strategy of "four convergence".

Zhang Xin, Director of Experiment Center of School of IOT Engineering, Jiangnan University, shared the experience in exploring the application of cloud desktop in university labs. The construction of a cloud at Jiangnan University has improved the efficiency and effectiveness of teaching, learning and management. There are numerous personalized experimental scenarios in science and engineering courses that require on-demand adaptation. Through UWS + Augmented Reality, Jiangnan University has realized that resources are not constrained by time and space on campus, and labs carrying important scientific tasks can be run remotely during the epidemic.
