e-Campus Today Monthly and the co-organizer Ruijie Networks announced on 4th Nov the winners of the National Innovative and Practical Digital Campus Competition for Secondary and Primary School that took place in the Charles K. Kao Auditorium, Hong Kong Science Park.
Digital Campus Competition Award Ceremony
Since kicked off in April 2012, this competition has received near 1000 proposals from teachers in both Hong Kong and China. The judging panel has been formed where all members were appointed by the EMIC of Ministry of Education PRC. This panel has taken months to carefully review and selected the shortlisted proposal. The award winners were finally confirmed during the panel discussion meeting held on 9th Oct.

The award ceremony has invited Mr. Zhou Yi, Deputy Head of EMIC of Ministry of Education PRC and Miss Candy Leung, Senior Manager of Corporate Communications, Innovation and Technology Commission of HKSAR as the guest of honors to present the award to all recipients. Mr. Zhou Yi, said, “The high quality proposals submitted by HK teachers have impressed me so much. As compared to the current e-campus development in China, HK teachers have put more focus on how to make use of IT for e-learning and teaching applications.”

Besides, the event host has invited Mr. Zhang Haitao – the technical team leader of Daxing Education Committee Information Center to share his experience of e-campus network construction in China. This speech has received many good feedbacks from HK IT teachers where they perceived this sharing as a good chance to exchange the e-campus construction experience with expert from China.

This award ceremony is part of the InnoCarnival 2012, which is organized by the Innovation and Technology (ITC) of HKSAR. This event aims to promote an innovation and technology culture among the community and further develop a platform for innovation and technology exchange among the industry, which in the long run can facilitate Hong Kong’s development into a regional hub for innovation and technology. This theme has also matched with the vision of Ruijie Networks, which is to create higher values for customers by delivering perpetually innovative products and technologies.
