Recently Ruijie Networks released officially the RG-SSO based on “the Five-in-One Solution V 2.0”. SSO functionality integrates the network authentication and application authentication. Network authentication can ensure the legitimacy and authenticity of user identity, and with network authentication, roaming of all application system is realized, thus achieving the effect of “full-network roaming with one authentication”. And this single-point sign-on is plug-and-play, so there is no need to transform the original application or to develop for follow-up extension, so it minimizes the difficulty of integration, and cuts integration costs.

According to Ruijie Product Director Yang Hongfei, RG-SSO component was developed on the basis of the original "Five-in-One Solution" and enhanced the functional diversification. So far, the "Five-in-One Solution" has resolved problems in the campus network and diversified access to the general education MAN, and realized the integration of wired and wireless network, inside and outside campus networks, access into and log out of the network, 802.1X and web access, and ipV4 and ipV6. So it ensures customer's needs from all angles including authentication, operation, maintenance, and auditing to achieve Web-based integration. The launch of RG-SSO further enhanced the integration of the campus network at the application level. And the SSO realized unified authentication and application based on the original One-in-Five and this unification is convenient, simple, and easy to operate.

The newly released RG-SSO and the RG-SAM/SMP is one single-point sign-on product and they match with each other. Users conduct the network level authentication through the client (or browser) that has been certified by Ruijie Networks and with the certified account as the primary account. Once the network is authenticated, all network-level authorization, accounting, and auditing functions are enabled. In addition, after the network authentication is passed, the network server will send a message to SSO to notify the user. SSO component server determines which user group the user belongs to and pushes application access list to the user according to application resources accessible to the user group, and the user accesses the applications through the list of resources provided the by SSO server.

Yang Hongfei said, through the construction of a unified authentication platform for all campus application systems to achieve single-point sign-on, authentication, user management, application management, and auditing. In turn, it can greatly enhance the security, simplicity and investigation of access to the campus application system, and bring the campus information construction and information management to a new height!
