On March 26, Ruijie Networks launched its e-lab solution 2010 themed “Industrial Talents, Innovative Teaching” in Fuzhou. The education informatization specialists and scholars in Fuzhou and the leaders in the Education Industry Department of Ruijie Networks attended the event.

Chen Zan, the general manager of Central China Division of Ruijie Networks, delivered a speech and extended thanks to the guests. Just as Chen Zan pointed out, information technologies are increasingly used in different industries, and computer and network talents must have industry-specific skills to win out in the job market, which has become a buyer’s market. Ruijie Networks has a decade of experience in education industry and has insights in computer and network talents cultivation. Ruijie Networks believes that students must have industry-specific skills in addition to comprehensive skills, and comes up with the concept of “Industrial Talents, Innovative Teaching”.

Students lacking competitiveness, curriculum lacking consistency, education divorcing from industry-specific applications, and specialties divorcing from market demands are four problems facing the education of network talents. Yu Tao, a solution consultancy manager of the Education Industry Department of Ruijie Networks, pointed out that Ruijie Networks would solve the problems. Universities along cannot solve the problems. Enterprises must involve in the curriculum reform of the universities to connect production, research, and education. Fang Yang, a university education consultancy of Ruijie Networks, introduced the support of Ruijie Networks to the education of top network talents to close the gulf between school education and the real world employment for students.

Making labs more specific, uniformly managing the labs, and sharing the resources are three common concerns. To address the concerns, Xiao Guangwei, a solution consultancy manager of Education Industry Department of Ruijie Networks, introduced the fourth generation e-lab solution. This solution introduces a variety of technical practices and industry-specific application scenarios, enables uniform and intelligent management of the lab resources in a subject-centric manner, and build a lab resource sharing platform to share the resources across universities.

Yu Tao also discussed the current lab resources with the experts. To narrow the gap between domestic labs and advanced foreign labs and make domestic labs more open, Ruijie Networks built the DragonLab for Tsinghua University. The DragonLab can make more efficient use of the lab by sharing the lab resources among other universities and social organizations. It is expected that the DragonLab will be a platform for international scientific research cooperation and academic exchanges.

The e-lab solution will be launched in other 25 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, and Chengdu. Ruijie Networks are willing to work hand in hand with education informatization specialists across China to build a brighter future for networked labs.
