Recently,Ruijie Networks was selected to construct the Office Networks at the Postal Savings Bank(PSB) of Shandong, and will provide customized solutions for the public network and production network for the PSB of Shandong.

With 16 Second-class Major Branches, 107 First-class minor branches, 1,207 second-class minor branches, and 1,264 postal service providers, the PSB of Shandong is one of the largest commercial banks in Shandong. As their service areas continue to grow and their business scale continue to expand, the limited office networks of the PSB of Shandong is becoming inadequate, and require refitting.

The completion of this project is divided into two main sections: construction of the portal Networks and the Production Networks. The portal network is mainly used for business with the public, while the latter is used as a data center and for product management, and will employ the Ruijie RG-S3250 series and RG-S2951XG series respectively.

Relevant authorities at the PSB of Shandong expressed that “Regarding the product operations of the bank, the data center and network foundations are two vital components, and must be reassured.” Before the project began, Ruijie Networks conducted extensive surveys and analysis in order to plan a solution to the “strict discipline, safe operation, strong competition” demand made by the PSB of Shandong. Ruijie Networks refitted each service point to match the “classification of consumers, categorization of access points, localization of functions, and separation of business” principal. Furthermore, Ruijie Networks continued to expand on the advantages of the massive scale in which postal savings are used to refit online service points of the PSB of Shandong.

China Postal Group Company and Ruijie Networks began their cooperation in 2003. The cooperation and relationship between the two groups will hopefully strengthen through cooperation in this project. Ruijie Networks also expressed that they will strengthen the technical input on this project, and fully support the construction of the PSB networks.
