Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

To provide passengers with better and more convenient service experience, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport surveys public areas and special areas of the T1 terminal building and fully covers the terminal with a Wi-Fi network.

  • The airport focuses on Wi-Fi signal dead zones and interference areas. It has deployed the Ruijie APs with X-sense antennas and introduced a 5G band, reducing interference compared with the 2.4G band and resolving poor Wi-Fi signal quality caused by inadequate coverage and interference.
  • The airport retains the original mode of obtaining Wi-Fi accounts and passwords via SMS and adds WeChat for Wi-Fi authentication. Users only need to follow the airport’s WeChat public account to access high-quality free Wi-Fi services. Visitors can scan their passports and boarding passes to access the Wi-Fi network and enjoy a good Internet experience for games, searches, entertainment, and so on.
  • The airport provides self-service check-in, flight information queries, flight arrival time forecasts, and directions. The heat map can show passenger density in the security area at a given time point or period of time, and the density of passengers departing to a specific city within a given period of time.
