1024-QAM High-speed Access
The RG-MA3064-FG adopts the dual-radio design and complies with 802.11ax. With dual radios enabled, it can provide a wireless data rate of up to 2.976 Gbps to realize high-speed access experience.
OFDMA High-density User Access
OFDMA in IEEE 802.11ax enables the RG-MA3064-FG to divide a WLAN channel into multiple narrower sub-channels, with each user occupying one or more sub-channels. The RG-MA3064-FG can schedule services of multiple users, and receive and send packets concurrently. This reduces contention for air interface resources and backoff, shortens the network latency, and improves the network efficiency.
In a high-density deployment and access environment, the average rate per client can be increased four times that of an 802.11ac client.
BSS Coloring for Spatial Reuse
Basic Service Set (BSS) Coloring in IEEE 802.11ax enables the RG-MA3064-FG to mark BSSs in WLANs with different colors and further classify BSSs into internal BSSs (BSS with which a client is associated) and external BSSs. Packet receiving and transmission thresholds are configured for BSSs. The RG-MA3064-FG can quickly identify packets from external BSSs based on the color and ignore the packets if the signal strength is less than the receiving threshold of the internal BSS. In this case, packet receiving and transmission in the internal BSS are not affected.
This function enables channel multiplexing in a high-density environment, which greatly mitigates co-channel interference in network deployments.
Environment Protection and Lower Power Consumption
The RG-MA3064-FG incorporates various new energy-saving technologies, including single-active multiple-standby antennas, dynamic multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) power saving, enhanced automatic power save delivery (APSD), and packet-based transmit power control technologies. In addition to high-performance power design, the RG-MA3064-FG is energy-efficient while providing high-speed wireless access services.
Intelligent Recognition
The RG-MA3064-FG can intelligently identify mobile clients such as iOS and Android clients and PCs. It can be used with RG-WIS to implement visualized wireless network management based on the wireless client type and optimize a network in one-click mode.
Abundant QoS Policies
The RG-MA3064-FG provides abundant QoS policies. It supports bandwidth limiting based on the WLAN, AP, and STA, and provides Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) that defines priorities for different service data. Therefore, it implements immediate and quantitative transmission of audio and video data, and guarantees smooth application of multimedia services.
The multicast-to-unicast technology supported by the RG-MA3064-FG solves the video freezing problem caused by packet loss or long latency in Video on Demand (VoD) and other multicast applications on a wireless network. It enhances the experience in the use of multicast video services on a wireless network.
The optical gateway and optical routers are connected using optical fibers to establish a network. Compared with traditional high-quality network cables such as Category 6 Ethernet cables, optical fibers are cost-efficient, and feature strong resistance to interference and a large capacity for future bandwidth upgrades. One-time cabling can meet your network upgrade requirements for up to 30 years.
Seamless handover is supported between the optical gateway and optical routers without service interruption. The roaming handover time is less than 50 ms.
