The RG-S6000 series gigabit data center access switches is compatible with every product within our extensive product line. With full line rate multi-layer switching capacity, the RG-S6000 is a perfect device to support various types of servers, operating systems and virtual software platforms with NLB server cluster technology.
In addition, the RG-S6000 is feature packed with support for the VSU and VRF networking protocols, with a charge and adjustment rate which comfortably supports VEPA virtual exchange, virtual machine discovery and security policy automation migration of next-generation data center virtualization features. The hardware also supports IPv4 and IPv6 dual-stack, multi-layer, wire-speed switching and features as well as providing rich Tunneling technology to ensure proper communication between IPv6 networks that interact with either pure IPv4 networks, IPv6 networks and hybrid IPv4/IPv6 networks – a feature critical in the current period where complete migration to IPv6 is projected to some time.
With an option to implement two to seven intelligent network traffic classifiers, the RG-S6000 greatly improves the quality of service (QoS) policies. Classification of different business streams depend on the application to ensure critical data packets are transmitted in an efficient manner.
