HONG KONG, 8 April— The Hong Kong Association for Computer Education (HKACE) and Ruijie Networks have co-organized a visit to the Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) on 28 March.  This event has attracted many IT teachers and HKACE members from HK to join the visit and shared experience with staff from MPI, Computer Service Centre.  The main purpose of this event is to encourage more interactive sharing for the open platform education cloud applications and network infrastructure deployed in MPI.

Mr. Danny Cheng, the Chairman of HKACE was invited to witness this cross-boarder sharing event.  Mr. Jose Chan, the Head of Computer Service Centre from MPI gave a brilliant sharing on “Open Platform Education Cloud Sharing”, presented a few demo on real-life application.  Followed up by Mr. William Ho, the Regional Head— Product Manager of Ruijie Networks who presented “Xlab/IIU Networking Platform” which has been deployed in MPI and added value to the institute’s Cloud Applications.

The highlight of this event is Server Room visit in MPI hostel that allowed teachers to witness the reliable network infrastructure. Explanation and discussion about cloud-based X-Lab and IIU network e-learning and research platform was carried on during the Server Room visit.  Besides, all teachers were invited to visit the gaming room inside the Gaming Teaching and Research Center (GTRC) and they have the chances to experience the teaching facilities within this center.
