Products have a certain life cycle and will withdraw from the market with time going on owing to market saturation, latest technological developments, and other factors affecting the replacement of new products. Taking this into consideration, Ruijie has set out the product life cycle policy to help customers complete the migration of the products and better protect the customer's investment in our technology platform to realize a win-win business with customers.

Main Content

1. Ruijie Networks will inform partners the products’ end-of-sale date one month in advance. The end-of-sale announcement will be released officially on Ruijie official website on the end-of-sale date, and the affected  products can not be ordered after the end-of-sale date. 2. Customers can sign a new service contract and add new service content with Ruijie networks for a period of 1 year from the end-of-sale date. But 1 year after the end-of-sale date, we will only accept renewing the existing contract instead of signing a new one.

3. The customers can renew the service contract for a period of 4 years from the end-of-sale date to extend the service life if a hardware repair or replacement service contract has been signed before the end-of-sale date. However, the service life of the product can not exceed the end-of-life date declared by Ruijie Networks. The service contract for products that have been end-of-sale for 4 years will not be renewed any more.

4. We provide paid maintenance and support services, and accept renewing the existing service contract for a period of 2 years from the end-of-sale date for Application Software. However, the service life of the product can not exceed the 2-year maintenance and service declared by Ruijie Networks.

5. We provide paid bug fixes, maintenance releases, patching service for a period of 2 years from the end-of-sale date for Product Host Operating System Software. However, the service life of the product can not exceed the 2-year maintenance and service declared by Ruijie Networks.

6. We provide paid technical assistance for a period of 2 years from the end-of-sale date for application software issues. Software supports are set forth below:

7. Consultation on the installation and usage of software, as well as remote assistance in fault diagnosis.

8. On-Site support for software installation, debugging, replacement, troubleshooting and software updates;

9. Other services that are included in the contract.

10. We provide paid operating system software and hardware support for a period of 5 years from the end-of-sale date. Hardware supports are set forth below:

11. Consultation on the installation and usage of equipment, as well as remote assistance in fault diagnosis.

12. On-Site support for equipment installation, debugging, replacement, troubleshooting and software updates(3 years from the end-of-sale date for products integrated software and hardware, and 2 years from the end-of-sale date for software products );

13. Other services that are included in the contract.

14. Spares or replacement parts for hardware will be available for a period of 5 years from the end-of-sale date according to the service contract.

15. If the end-of-sale product is not available for replacement or repair, Ruijie networks reserves the right to satisfy the support requirement by replacing the end-of-sale product with substantially equivalent hardware.

16. Ruijie will provide a paid replacement and repair if the product is out-of-warranty.

17. 5 years after the end-of-sale date, Ruijie will not provide maintenance and technical support for the products. If the service contract customers have signed with Ruijie are confilt with above contents, Ruijie will provide high-quality service based on the service contract.

Here is an explanation for some of the terms that we have used in this notice:

End of Product Life Cycle: A process that guides the final business operations associated with the product life cycle. A series of things make up the end-of-life process, such as technology, products milestones and activities. The product will be eliminated and no longer be sold, manufactured, improved, repaired, besides that, there is no maintenance or support on the products at the end of the product life cycle.

End-of-life date: The end date of the service. The product sold with hardware will end its service after 5 years of the end-of-sale date and its bundled softwares will stop maintenance and upgrading after 2 years of the end-of-sale date. Software products will stop maintenance and upgrading after 2 years of the end-of-sale date. Other products will end their service after 3 years of the end-of-sale date.

End-of-sale date: The last date to order and renew the product through typical sales channels. The product is no longer available for purchase and is removed from all price lists after this date.

Hardware: The physical product and its physical components.

Operation System Software: Ruijie operating system software running on Ruijie hardware.

Application Software: For use with non-Ruijie operating system software.

Software Maintenance support: Ruijie may release some software maintenance for the products’ software version Bug. Since then, Ruijie network engineering department will no longer develop, offer maintenance or test the products’ software after the period of time.
